-Bi Zheng (painful obstructive syndrome) from wind dampness
Description:
Traditional mixture for painful obstructive syndrome (Bi Zheng), which primarily arises from wind and dampness on the basis of internal insufficiency. Chinese medicine describes this condition as fullness on the outside and emptiness on the inside. Typically these are conditions we would call rheumatic pains. Basically, it is the invasion of an external pathogen (in this case dampness and wind) into a previously weakened organism. The pathogen in the form of wind and dampness blocks the circulation of Qi energy and blood in the pathways and this causes pain.
The combination of herbs in this blend effectively strengthens the body, clears the pathways, breaks up the blockages that have already occurred and removes the wind and damp from the body. We could say that this combination of herbs has an analgesic effect, however, it does not merely suppress the pain, but addresses the cause of it.
